As extreme sports are increasingly gaining the sympathy of young people, a 300 square metre sports space for BMX bikers, scooter riders and skateboarders has been opened in Trakų Vokė. Of the eight ramps in the skate park, three reach an impressive height of 2 - 3.5 metres.
The skate park includes a set of jumping ramps, with elements ranging in height from one and a half to three and a half metres and in width from four to eight metres.
The idea of an active leisure space in Trakų Vokė was proposed by the residents of Panerių seniūnija in the project "Dalyvauk! Vilnius". As the budget for the idea would not have been sufficient to build the ramps for roller skates, scooters and skateboards, the municipality's sports and wellness department, together with the "Active Vilnius", undertook the project. The eldership (seniūnija) has allocated the budget for small architecture, landscaping and greenery around the ramps.
The skate park is located between the Trakų Vokės nursery school at E. Andrė g. 6, Vilnius, and an residential building at E. Andrė g. 8, Vilnius.
